Yeah, I would've much preferred "Great Caesar's ghost!"
I could've done without the Drew & Mimi guest-shot, too.
I'll admit some of it, ok a lot of it, was hokey but it was the first live-action Superman series since the 50's and long overdue so I took what i could get for my Superman fix.

Not sure if she made it "better", perhaps more tolerable...."Great Shades of Elvis" indeed

So far I hear the Only Main reason anyone watched that Crap called the Lois & Clark Show,.. is Because of Hatcher ??? You boys need to get out more,.. I personally Have scene 2 Dollar Hookers with more Class & Sex Apeal.

What's the Matter ? Porno's cost too much ? Or the "Boss" Wouldn't let you have them ?

Whatever,.. Idiocracy is Written all over this Abortion of a Thread , where props can be given to that Pile, & Jabs can be given towards Image Comics & the Multicolored Green Lantern Story Arc.

To Each his own,.. I suppose. Spawn was a Damn good book. Most people that come to this forum, hate McFarlane. I Say Whatever. The Guy Told a Good Story of How he interpreted the ever told Saga of the Battle between Heaven & Hell..., I liked his version. Not to mention that The Guy could probably get a Nod for Making Figures look like they do today,.. on so many levels...., but wait,.. that probably is hated too.

    I also read Team-7 , WildC.A.T.S., Cyber-Force , Gen-13 & BackLash... Got anything for those ???

IMO "Talking up" the Lois & Clark Show,.. & Not appreciating that stuff, & the Multi-Colored Green Lantern Story Is by Far the Stupidest Writing I have thus far even tried to read on this Forum. It's almost Troll like.

Oh yeah, those make good puppy-training paper. Just used a run of Spawn for that the other day.

I can sum up my "like" for Lois & Clark in two words: Teri Hatcher

    I must've missed that.

So, we'll disregard the Dollar Comics of the 70s, which had a pretty good run if I recall (Adventure, World's Finest, Superman Family, Batman/Famly/Detective), as well as Marvel Comics Presents, which had a 175 issue run in the 80s/90s?

Well I never bought any of that Marvel book but I guess I overlooked your suggestions once I read "anthology".
To me, ANTHOLOGY means a book that has different stories every month by different artists. Like the old House of Mystery, Unexpected, Strange Adventures or Ghosts. A common THEME but no recurring characters (at least not very often).
I guess a broader definition of ANTHOLOGY would fit your suggestions. And I suppose they were at least somewhat successful (using my definition of anthology) well into the 70's but were on a definite downhill ride around the time comics hit 30-40 cents or so.

Unfortunately they haven't really been successful since the 60's.

If done RIGHT an anthology would eliminate the need for a lot of these one-shots and mini-series that are flooding the racks. Test the waters before you launch a character into his own book.

I don't know. It's always nice to remember the old days, but the character should be moved forward a bit. That's not to say that Aquaman can't be moved closer to his roots. For a long time I've thought that an Aquaman title that was a mix of Conan and the Fantastic Four could do very well. Stay away from a staight superhero take and play up the romantic/fantasy aspects of the character. I would like to read that book. However, unless a new character is introduced, I think Garth is to far away from his Aqualad origin to return to that role. However, Garth Dolphin and Cerdia could fit very well in the Aquaman book that I envision.

Also would like to see the return of an REAL anthology title (not 100% sold on the upcoming return of Adventure Comics) featuring guys like The Atom (Ray Palmer), Adam Strange, and The Creeper.
I would love this. The title would probably never have great off the rack numbers, but I bet that could be made up in tpb.
DC really needs a title like this to showcase 2nd and 3rd tier characters. 4 to 6 issue story arcs that featured something other then the "trinity" would be good.

    Yeah, I'm spreading hate.
    It's called sarcasm.
It's called, "We heard you the first half dozen times." Enough allready.

You must've conveniently overlooked the part where I said I'm a HUGE Hal Jordan GL fan?
Nope. I remember reading that somewhere. BTW, I'm the guy that thinks Jordan should have remained as Paralax. Neither position has anything to do with the discussion.

I don't have to sip the Kool-Aid and praise every story out there if I don't like it.
No one is asking you to.

Son, God willing, I will die young at a very old age.

Oh and I'm done, Toyroom. Sorry for the tangent.
    I'll hold you to that.
