How about Ronny Cox as Captain America in that dreadful, straight to video, embarrassment? And to make matters worse it had our beloved Darren McGavin (Kolchak - The night Stalker) in one of his last roles before he died. Now if that isn't the death of TWO icons, I don't know what is.
Wow. Now that really would have been bad casting. Ronny Cox, who was 52 years old at the time, actually played the President in that 1990 film. Captain America was played by the much younger Matt Salinger (J.D.'s son)
I really hate to sound like I'm busting your chops, but I also have to point out that McGavin just died last year. He appeared in dozens of productions after Captain America.

I really liked Cage as Ghost Rider and I thought the movie was awesome. Don't have an opinion on the other movies. Ghost Rider is the only super hero I still like.
I also don't get why people pick on him for wearing a toupee for the part. Sean Connery wore a toup in every Bond movie. What's the big deal?
Connery's hair piece looked good, and Cage's looked like a dead rat, or they scalped Ric Ocasek.

Because Connery goes walking around in public bald, and Cage covers his baldness up, in and out of movies...big difference.
People like realness not fakeness.

Lynda Carter, Helen Slater, are worse actresses, but they fit the parts as WW & SG perfectly, just like Berry fit both Storm and Catwoman.

What about Dolph Lundgren as the punisher? He-Man... yes, Frank Castle...No!!!
I also really had a hard time tolerating Julian McMahon's Dr. Doom, but loved Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm.
Halle Berry is a HORRIBLE Actress! She only got an Ocar because Her and Densel washington cried..."No Black Actor has won since the 60's". I could tolerate Her as Storm, in the 1st two X-Men movie's though. Probably because, She didn't have a big Part.
This is not uncommon from me to read, hate on Halle Berry more than other "bad" actresses. Mmmm...
I HIGHLY disagree with you that Berry is a HORRIBLE actress, that's just sounds like hate to me.
I do think she's overrated as an actress but to call her horrible, well, I don't get it.
Aside from being physically a pleasant sight on screen (easy on the eyes), she does have some decent acting chops (like I said not great but decent). I do have to agree the reason she won the Oscar was due to pressure from the public that a black actress should win the big one, she was there at the right moment and time.
Another reason to hate on Berry is sometimes the choice of her movies, she seems like she'll take just about almost anything for a buck, and that's a shame because I do believe she is capable of very good things.
It's unfair to call her horrible though, she's far from that, if you want bad actresses, take a look at Jessica Alba, who's ten times worse than Halle Berry.
And to end things, I think Halle Berry was fine as Catwoman but the movie itself sucked, simple as that.

I have to disagree with the above lists.
Shaq looks the part. His acting skills are limited but if the character wasn't right it was because of directing and writing not that the actor was miscast.
Halle Berry was a similar case. If you are going for Selina Kyle she would be all wrong but they were not - yes, this film is terrible but again not totally miscast
Garner as Elektra. AWESOME. Again if you are judging the elektra movie it is bad. Could the part have been cast better? maybe. miscast - no.
Devito as penguin. Jones as Two Face. Clooney as Batman. Again you are not judging the actor. you are judging the part.
Bassinger was a perfect pick for Vale. And really - what does it even matter? second guessing this choice is akin to choosing the best boy grip.
Pat hingle as gordon - again he was great -and does it really even matter
Cage was fine.
Some I definitely agree with:
Schwartzenegger for Freeze
MacMahon for Doom
New Lois
crosby as WW
add
new bat girlfriend
harry osborne
mary jane
nicolson as joker was as bad if not a worse choice as keaton for batman -
it looked like jack would be great and people questioned keaton - in the end i believe keaton was fine and nicolson was entertaining but he was not the joker
miscast doesn't mean the actor was in a bad movie. miscast means they were wrong for the part.
Most guys like Jessica Alba. A lot of people liked the FF movies. this doesn't mean she was the best choice for the movie.
Agree 100% on all counts.

Yeah...casting talk can be FUN Huedell...I like the debate. It can also, sometimes get ugly(like on SUPERHEROHYPE.COM)...but here...it's cool..We're all Friend's. Well....most of the time LOL!!!
"You're not raining on My Parade...I could careless Who they cast as the Penguin...since I think it will be a "small Part" anyway. Plus...I've never really liked the Character."
That's cool Bat----I just thought that in talking about this stuff--its like
we got to be the "casting guy" for a second is all---and if I was, I'd go for
somebody at least 15-20 years younger than 60
I just think they should stay on the bent that Batman's Gotham and it's
popular criminals are still relatively young
Penguin being 40 okay. 50 maybe. 60---crazy.
Just my opinion.
