When you all print out of Photoshop or Gimp, do you save as a PDF first or print the PSD?

I use Gimp but it can export to a PSD format. PM me your email address and I would be happy to send you an example box/insert in PSD.

I use Gimp as well; & because it's free. I first learned Photoshop ($), and it has translated to Gimp easier for me. I work with large files in PSD, & I have personally faced an intermittent glitch: I found I have needed to copy, backup & save the file once I've been working on something for a while; every once in a while, I have lost what I thought I saved. As a failsafe, I back it up again before saving it.

There was a template a long time ago on the old yahoo group and I think during the beginnings of the Museum. It was 72DPI which was my only gripe with it. I used to scan 300 DPI and it was a royal pain. Let me see if I have the template on this computer.

I have done ALL of my custom box layout work for more than 20 years now using Adobe Photoshop with great success.

Over all these years, my artwork files have transferred over to the latest updated versions of Adobe Photoshop without a problem.

What Software is everyone using to do their box layout? I was using free software that came with a printer I purchased years ago, but the software doesn't work on my newer computers.
