I have actually toyed around with that idea a little myself. I think they would sell, but the real question is how well? I suppose it would all depend on how the head turned out whether it would go over good or not.

I had thought once about having my Money Man head produced in mass quantity. However, I do not think that it would be as feasible at this time as it would be geared for my own personal use. I am sure a couple might sell here and there to be used as customs for maybe something else. Other wise I would definitely not consider doing it just for the profit margin alone.

I cannot say for sure although I may be surprised to even know other wise but I think that the blonde female head is definitely not one of Doc's biggest sellers.

Actually, Doc's heads are excellent for this use.

They only come in ONE type though; blonde and blue eyed.

A friend of mine actually dyed one of them a deep brown for a Storm custom, and rerooted the head, but it was a time consuming process.

I agree. I like using those heads. They look real good. IMO "Almost" megoish.

Heavy Anime influence on both. IE big eyes. The 4" Mini bratz doll head looks better in full body shot. Plus the other bonus is Bratz heads are easier to find in differing ethnicitys.

I went on gut instinct when I saw the cake topper dolls at Michael's. I wasn't entirely sure they looked the right scale, but their heads were certainly too big for the cake-topper bodies. I examined them for a bit and made a judgment on their scale. I think they look great on a Mego body.

Jaida, when shopping for the ethnic girl heads online look for the cake-toppers that say they are 4 inches tall with the pick (like the ones at Candyland Crafts)...Those are the ones that should be in scale with Mego 8 inch figures.

The ladies above should be the correct scale.

The Barbie sized cake-toppers are 7 or so inches tall.

DD, I really like that Doc Mego blonde girl head (I wanted to buy one, but Doc's pictures are rather small and I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not...I've been debating for months about buying it). I do wish there was more variety in hair color and face paint on those heads, though...I'm not brave enough to try and re-root a new head of hair on them.

BTW...The Bratz doll head is hilariously weird and the dollar store head looks pretty darn good.

And it occurred to me to do that.....after I got home!

Oh well, I'll take one of the DM heads, which are the same size, and compare it to one of the ones in the store.

That is the thing about Megoish heads. The naked eye can some times plays tricks with us. I have bought heads blindly in the past thinking this is going to be great only to get home and find out later that it is either too big or too small. To remedy that I have been carrying a Mego head in my pocket for some time to use as comparison when I am out. Now it is a no brainer.

BTW - I have to retake the pictures that I took because my digital camera memory stick shot craps on me the other day before I could transfer the pictures to my computer. I will get the new pictures up just as soon as I purchase the new memory stick.

I recently found a Michael's in my area and I looked at the cake heads. To me, they looked too small to work for an 8" body, but looking at the pictures again, I realize that I was wrong.

They don't have a doll making section anymore; it just wasn't selling much, so they discontinued it.

The next time I go, I will get the four pack of heads that they have.

I just wish they had the ethnic one in that size, she'd make a great girlfriend for Brick or Bruce Wayne.

Nice job on that. I like. Thanks for sharing that picture.

I just recently found some more potential doll heads at the dollar store. I will try and post a picture or two here soon for all to see.

Yes, indeed she was. Sheila the thief might be a fun custom...Although, I think I'd want to use a smaller girl body, instead of the 8 inch female body (that body is a bit too...Mature).
