I use a binder material which ensures the paint will stay on.Leave a comment:

Thanks, folks.
I had a disaster years ago painting a vinyl Lost in Space robot figure with Testors Enamel....it never dried and eventually flaked off.
water based acryl or vinyl paint...got it! Thanks!Leave a comment:

I've used Testors Model Master Acryl (water based) paint to touch up some of my Megos before. It looks great and some of the nice things about this paint is that with it being water based, it can be used on just about anything. And also, since it doesn't bond with the plastic, can be scrubbed off with a little effort (without damaging the head).Leave a comment:

I use the stuff for car interiors on any original head.

Touching-Up Heads
I did a quick search on touching-up Mego-heads and didn't find anything except the painting tutorial for custom heads made of Sculpey. (great info, by the way)
Does one use the same type of vinyl paint for touching-up paint rubs on less-than-mint Mego-heads?
Thanks.Tags: None
