That's how mego would have done a RM Hawkman, IMHO. That's just perfect Chris. I always thought you did such a great job on that custom.

Thanks Bob. I didn't mean to usurp this thread in anyway, just trying to show how a novice customizer handled Hawkman. He's by far the best one I've done.I just got lucky with the outcome on him.

Not sure about that, but I made mine from a Doc Mego repro Batman cowl, and I did some sclupting with Crayola Model Magic, and used a tiny bird toy for the wings.

I totally agree. I always thought that a Mego Hawkman would have grey felt wings under his arms like Falcon. Not character accurate but it would have worked.

I agree 100% Felt wings with the feather pattern printed on, similar to Falcons wings, only thicker material. I wonder if the headsculpt would be based on the yellow masked Earth 2 Hawkman of the era as well? If for no other reason than the figure would still fit in the standard Mego blister card? (...could use the Hawkheadmask and Thor blister too I guess?)

I've often thought that a Mego Dr. Octopus might've had cloth tentacles sewn into his suit a la Lizard's tail, but that a Mego Hawkman might've had plastic "backpack" wings like Green Arrow's quiver.

Yet another suggestion. The Total Justice Hawkman comes with removable wings and the hinge part in his back can be adapted to Mego.
