Venture Brothers premiere: What did you think?

Well season 3 started with little to no fanfare on adult swim's part. I actually forgot and a buddy of mine hooked me up with a copy.

    SLIGHT SPOILERS

I think it's a testament to this show that the creators can barely feature any of the title characters and the show still works and is enjoyable. Much like the Springfield citizens on the Simpsons, the supporting cast of The Venture Bros. has taken on a life of it's own.

Loved the tie-ins to all the old episodes, but the funniest part was when Monarch commented on how the music had been replaced, much like our favorite TV shows on DVD.

Off to a good start. Now maybe next week Doc, the boys and Brock will actually speak!

Kind of let down after the big build up at the end of 2. But still a pretty good episode overall. Any episode that has 21 and 24 in it winds up being a classic.

I've got it DVR'd but haven't got to watch it yet. Absolutely love the show though.

Man was this week's something. I would never want to get on Doctor Killinger's wrong side.

This weekend's episode was interesting. After last week's being one of my absolute favorites, I was a little disappointed, but on a second viewing I got into it more, after knowing where they were going with Sgt. Hatred's treatment of the Doc.

One thing. I HATE the Moppetts. I sincerely hope they don't get much more screen time. Unlike 21 and 24 they are a one-note joke and that's it. I'd much rather see what Doc Orpheus or Pete and Billy are up to than visit these guys again.

Yeah I'm stilling watching. Who knew Sheila's voice is the result of her smoking habit and not a sex change surgery as suggested in earlier episodes?

Same here. I hate HATE the moppetts. If they end up actually killing Dr. Girlfriend or the Monarch I will not be pleased. I'm also not fond of Hatred.

I think that's just an in joke. Kind of hard to overlook she had an adams apple in the first two episodes.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, I think Sheila's "origin" will probably never be revealed, or they'll wait to the final episode ever or something. But who knows, they've filled in a lot more backstory in the first 4 episodes this season than I ever thought they would.

I'm looking forward to the episode Ben Endlund turns in this season. His stuff on there is always great. Speaking of which,I wonder if they plan on brining back Venturestein?

Digging this back up to see if anyone else saw tonight's. I don't want to give away too much about the customs that showed up. Anyone here ever tried those?
