Mego Captain America

A favorite character and a prized Mego. He doesn't seem to fare well loose. It's hard to find him with a decent shield and clean costume, and his nose is prone to paint loss.

Cap is the goofiest Marvel Mego, I think. His eyes are a little buggy, and they completely ignored the gloves. He does need a naked hand to hold the shield, but couldn't they have used red hands and armbands? How hard is that? The lack of white in the sleeves is an unforgivable oversight.

Flounces on the top of the boots would have been a nice touch, too...Check out the boots on Robin Hood's Will Scarlet: Darn near perfect Cap boots! Argh!

Mego Cap was one of the first figures offered on an early Kresge card,when he was allowed to be shown mingling with the DC crew. Marvel objected and soon Cap and Spidey had their own card! courtesy of Scott Hatfield.
