SUPERGIRL
The Blonde Bombshell is one of the prettiest Megos, and one of the most aggravating (see below). She wears the poofy sleeves and shorts outfit of the Mego era. Her belt is elastic with a buckle, in the style of the early Robins. In this picture, she is of course WEARING WONDER WOMAN BOOTS. Supergirl originally came with red slippers. She is doing so only because this one is mine, has no shoes, and mugged a Wonder Woman for her boots. But it's a darn cool picture, so even though it is TECHNICALLY INCORRECT AND SUPERGIRL NEVER EVER CAME WITH BOOTS, I'm sticking with this for the time being. However....

design. No way that thing is staying on. No way no how. It's lost. Gone.
This is the Painted Suit (silk-screened) Supergirl courtesy Steve Caballero. The insignia, belt, "booties" and even the cuffs of her sexy 70's shorts are screened onto the jumpsuit. This is the earliest version of the figure, hard to find, but always wearing shoes. Next to it is the hard to find "Peacebelt" version, using a yellow version of DInah Mites belt, believed to be only produced in France, courtesy of Jason.
Lily Ledy (Mexico) produced their own take on Mego Supergirl, the only variant to come with boots. She makes for a fetching senorita.
