DC Gallery

Mego's World's Greatest Super Heros was the line that put Mego on the map. By securing the rights to popular comic book and Saturday morning superheroes Mego shot to the top of the toy industry and into our tiny little hands. It all started with with DC Comics heroes.Utilizing the interchangeable body they had developed for Action Jackson and Dinah-Mite (Mego's early 8inch lines, soon to have their own gallery), Mego's initial offering of Batman & Robin (removable masks), Superman, and Aquaman were quickly followed by World's Greatest Super-Gals, Super Foes, and the first wave of Marvel characters.

DC definitely got the deluxe treatment in many ways, with a wealth of well-known Batman villains and vehicles and playsets, and the short-shrift in others (OVEN MITTS).

N.P.P.? It's on the back of every DC character's head. National Periodical Publications is DC Comics. Couldn't resist labeling the bust with it.

Highlights include Smirking Mxyzptlk, Montgomery Wards Alter Egos, Supergirl's slipper, Removable Mask Robin, Painted Suits Females, among others. VEHICLES are under the PLAYSET heading, and we have lots of examples of both!
