Can you help me identify this unknown?

I purchased this unfortunate doll with a batch of other Mego dolls from Ebay last December. His nose was sliced off and he came with a Barbie body.

This is his photo along with a Sideshow Cornelius and Mego Dr. Zaius to show his size.


I would like to find out what kind of doll he was so that I could find a body that fits him. Once complete, I want to transform him into a Qin Dynasty Warrior and do a custom paint, nosejob, and outfit. He will look great standing guard on my fireplace mantle.

Thank you, Luey. That was very helpful. I just bought a 10" body for the doll's head. I will make it work somehow. I am also going to shave off the doll's vinyl hair and give him a new hairdo that is befitting of a Qin Warrior, and I will post photos when I am done with this fun custom.
