Submission: Star Trek Wave 4 (Aliens)

Hey everyone! DaveMc and I wanted to chime in as well... this project is great fun!

Star Trek: Wave 4 (Aliens continued)
Author: James Brady, Dave McCormick
Line: Star Trek 8"
Toy Execution: Custom
Packaging Execution: N/A
Toy Customizers/Collaborators: James Brady (sculpts), Dave McCormick
(costumes)
Packaging Customizers/Collaborators: N/A
Author Notes: This wave of four figures expands Mego's Star Trek
"Aliens" line and includes Khan, Orion Woman, Salt Vampire and
Trelane. The inclusion of a human (Khan) in an "Aliens" wave is
arguably "true-to-Mego" style, and would likely have passed in 1978
simply because the character was a "bad guy".

Star Trek: Action 2-packs
Author: James Brady, Dave McCormick
Line: Star Trek 8"
Toy Execution: Custom
Packaging Execution: N/A
Toy Customizers/Collaborators: James Brady (sculpts), Dave McCormick
(costumes)
Packaging Customizers/Collaborators: N/A
Author Notes: Similar in design to the "World's Greatest Super-Pals",
Mego introduces new characters and applies the 'affordable two-pack'
concept to its Star Trek figures for 1978 to spark new interest in the
line. New figure two-packs include Spock's parents, Sarek and Amanda
and "Assignment: Earth" protagonist Gary Seven with Roberta Lincoln.
Other two-packs (not shown) include Kirk with Khan, Spock with Sarek,
McCoy with Salt Vampire, Kirk with Gorn and Uhura with Orion Woman
(for absolutely no other reason than it seems like something Mego
would have done).

Hey James,
I was wondering when you would chime in. Great submissions, those should really be included

I'm blown away every time I get to see those figures. I also love the idea of doing two-packs with an alien facing an original crew member as well.

One idea I'd thought of (since we're talking Trek) would be to come out with a shuttlecraft. It'd be styled like the old series craft, and could hold two figures, similar to the ones Playmates put out a few years ago. Maybe, again like Playmates, it could come with Kirk in a variant uniform? (either green shirt or the all-gold shirt from the pilot)

OMG!

These Trek figures are amazing.

They really feel like they could have been megos, but a slightly evolved mego. Like where they would have ended up had they continued the line. If these were mass-produced I would buy every one.
