A few weeks ago while walking through a local Hudson's Bay store (Canadian version of Nordstom's, etc) my eye caught some beautiful Mike Allred Wonder Woman art in the cosmetics department! Turns out he did the packaging for a Mac Cosmetics Wonder Woman line - please see pics below.
Being a lover of the man's work (huge Madman fan!), I asked one of the clerk's if I could or have, or purchase, the display material after the promo was over. She looked at me sadly and said "We have to destroy it". My reaction, as you can imagine, was "WHAT?!?!?". She went on to explain that DC has asked all stores to destroy all packaging and that it not be given to anyone. Crazy, crazy, crazy. What a freaking waste. I joked that I could be at the dumpster on said day, but she just smiled
I've checked ebay a few times but haven't seen any of the display material come up (tons of the actual cosmetic packaging, though). Not that I would actually buy it for more than a few bucks, but was just curious...
