One of the last real men left in Hollywood. A true tough guy and super star from my childhood gone. RIP

I think the only Burt Reynolds movie I saw was Cannonball Run 2. But I know he was big, b/c his name was everywhere back in the day. RIP Burt.

Very sad news to hear, I'm not sure but was he the last surviving member of the Gunsmoke cast?

Think Newly is still around … he played in Stephen King's The Mist a few years ago

Quite a guy. My son, wife and I met him last year at the Jonesboro (GA) Bandit Run Festival. He looked very old and decrepit, however he sounded like his old movie star self (even flirted a bit with the Mrs). He was really nice and it was cool to meet him.

This week the local theater is playing "Smokey and the Bandit" so the wife and I went yesterday afternoon and saw it on the big screen for the first time since 1977. It was just as fun as ever despite us being two of six people in the theater.
