    Target Universal Monster Halloween Cards

Today while going to my local Target I notice these Halloween cards with beautiful art work of the Universal Monsters. There is also artwork inside that is different from the outside.

After going through them I noticed a different Bride card. The envelopes are done in Halloween orange.

Here are the covers to Dr. Frankenstein's Monsters. Like the Valentine cards on my wiki page, I usually do not post them until after the holidays, but to show the board members what the look like I am going to post the outside and not the inside artwork till after Halloween.

I was a little upset that they did not include the Wolfman or the Mummy. Here are the Creature of the Black Lagoon, Dracula, and Invisible Man.

That middle one IS the Mummy...Dracula was left out undoubtedly due to Lugosi Jr.

This "watercolor" look is quite popular right now. My wife is getting a lot of Harry Potter material with this look.

I saw these Universal card in person last week. Tempted to buy them all and frame them. Maybe cut the text off the front? But the insides are gorgeous too!

Universal Monster Army has pics of all of some of the interiors.

What I can't figure out is...are they actually watercolor artwork based off photos or are they just photos manipulated somehow in Photoshop?

My Target only had exactly 3 of these Halloween cards left! The other slots were empty. On the other hand, they had an almost fully stocked Mego display--even had 3 of the Star Trek 2-packs. The only one missing was Bela as Dracula!
