          Thank you everyone.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

^ Your posts have been the reason I picked up He-Man, Skeletor, Battle Cat, and Panthor from this line. I am even thinking about adding the Masters of the Universe lunch box to a shelf I will dedicate to "The Age Where I Had Moved On From Toys, But Still Felt the Pull".

Indeed they are, they help me make better decisions about what doubles to buy. Thank you, WW.

Makernaut, I can empathize--I was collecting original MOTU in jr. high/high school and college.

Love these, and looking forward to seeing more. Have found all of the Origins figures so far except Webstor. I hope he gets a rerelease on down the line.

                    Rattlor vintage vs Origins.

                    muorat.JPG

Other than being brighter red the Origins figure is pretty much spot on to his vintage counterpart. He looks great. The new Rattlor does not have his quick strike action feature and instead comes with a neck extender piece like Mekaneck. Kind of a bummer. He at least does still rattle when you shake him. The tail is now a separate piece which snaps on to his back.

                      Kobra Khan vintage vs Origins.

                      moukobra.JPG

Just like Rattlor he looks great but lacks his original action feature. Does not squirt water like the vintage toy. He comes with this translucent venom blast effect loogie thing instead.

Honestly, I love Origins Cobra Khan. The slight tweaks to the head and forearm sculpts, the head deco, and the venom blast are great.

I think the neck extension on Rattlor would have benefitted from red paint on the dorsal side, but I think the compromise works better for Rattlor that Mekaneck.

I think Khan's water squirting feature might have bumped him up to a deluxe but it still could have been easily done. The mechanism is really just a cheap simple spray bottle. The one advantage of having no action feature is you can swap Camo Khan's hooded head to give more of a cartoon look.

And to be fair, Rattlor's unpainted neck does match the original toy. But yeah it probably would look nicer painted.

The hooded Khan head is excellent. I'd love to be able to do a separate hybrid figure.

Snake Armor He-Man. 2002 vs Origins.

                              muosahm.JPG

There's some real eyesores in the 2002 reboot. While Snake Armor He-Man isn't the worst variant, it's probably right up there. Never super fond of the Roman gladiator inspired look or the ginormous sword the figure can't actually hold up without tipping over. You have to use it as a brace to keep the figure from falling over. The Origins version is an improvement. At least the Origins figure can hold the sword without face planting.

I think it's better in Origins, but it's not a favorite. Maybe it's the asymmetry that I dislike.

IMO, Snake Armor Skeletor, is a more attractive figure.
