Well if everyone thinks ABBA is lame then I must be in a different league. I wouldn't be embarassed to buy an ABBA CD at all and their Greatest Hits album is incredible.

I thinking of something that I have purchased and mumbled something about my wife or daughter liking it.

The Soundtrack from the Broadway Wicked comes to mind.
I also purchased the Chris Daughtery CD (I know he was on American Idol but the dude can belt out some songs)
Avril Lavigne is another one. Yes, my daughter likes her music a lot but I can't help but enjoy a few of the songs myself

I gotta admit, I don't consider most of the bands listed to be guilty pleasures. But that's just me, and I'm usually drunk anyway.

Say what you want about ABBA, but their Gold album is one of my all time favorites.

        My guilty pleasures?

Corey Hart. Go ahead and laugh, but Boy in the Box was a great album back in the day and the song "Eurasian Eyes" was completely underrated on that album. I don't care much for "Sunglasses at Night," but even though it's probably his most famous song, it's not on Boy in the Box.

Dashboard Confessional. Whiny, emo, pseudo-punk wannabe. I don't care, I dig the vibe of their early stuff. Not familiar with their later works though.

Erasure. Yeah, I said it. Erasure.

Journey. This shouldn't really be a guilty pleasure. Pick up their Greatest Hits album and you'll be floored by just how many hits they did have.

                    Good God.

That man used to give chills with his angelic voice. Absolutely stunning. What an amazing spirit Sam was.

My all time guilty pleasure is Phil Collins. I know it's hip to hate the man's music these days, and that's okay. "Different strokes", and all that.

But in my view, this man has undeniably one of the most gorgeous voices in music. Here are three lesser-known performances by Phil, singing "Helpless Heart" and "Everything that I am" (written for the Tarzan stage production) and the soulful, bluesly "I Wish It Would Rain Down". See if you agree:

I have...(can't believe I'm telling anyone this) I have a greatest hits of...
Paul Williams...and I love it....I play his album over and over again in work...(I work alone)...
but I loved the music from Bugsy Malone...
and I loved the Music from the Burt Reynolds movie The End...so I bought his
                          album...

I'm also a BIG Prince fan...any of you ever forgive me ???

This is no big surprise for anyone that knows me, b/c I'm a self proclaimed 70s throwback, but I love to listen to:

Shaun and David Cassidy (this does include The Partridge Family)
                            Disco
70s soft rock and easy listening
70s classic rock, pop and bubble gum
                            The Archies
Saturday morning music (cartoon themes, Krofft Music, the afore mentioned Archies)
                            Rick Springfield
Michael Jackson and Jackson 5/Jacksons (YEAH I SAID IT!)
                            Billy Mumy's band The Jenerators
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I forgot that I have the Best of the Brady Bunch CD.

The songs from the show aren't so bad but listening to them sing "American Pie" oooff. But I do admit listening to it every once in a while so I can hear a little bit of "Sunshine Day"
