I like cast-away torso and arms mixed with docs groin and legs....That doesn't sound good at all...But it makes the super great figure.
Cast-away bodies are a tad dark and the groin piece where the top of the hip joints go into needs to be bored out just a bit to make them stand well.Or you get the cast-away leaning leg syndrome.

Docs bodies are great but a tad orangey,The arms are prone to getting sucked into the body and torso split due to crappy elastic. No real pose-ability due to the arms being to tight. If you get a doc body and restring it with new elastic then it is good to go.

Again I prefer top half castaway bottom half doc.
In truth either one is a good choice.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

As for the tightening, if one is able to pull the arm out and manage to adjust the band properly on the flat portion of the metal swivel, it will loosen it a bit.
I did this on TrueDaves body hybrid and worked out great and better pose ability.
      Really?

I wondered why it seemed like a new figure! I just thought it was the new Bigger shoulders!.Thank You!

I put on the Castaway hands. I just tugged on a hand and PoP. I got lucky with an EMCE. I am not a mere Head swaper anymore! Hooks and stringis is not something I can do. I MAYBE restung one and a Half and a few head swaps on Vintage GI Joe but I switched over to the last newest body in 2000. No strings!
I had NO idea that you can do something to these guys to make then straighter!

Realized something that intially put me off about the super awesome castaway hands. The knobs on the wrists are big. but as I just said on a Doc Mego forearm imt makes everything snugger.

BUT I see the problem. The SLEEVES are too short on the costumes now.

Biff Bang Pow's Flash Gordon will have the LJN arms complete with swivel biceps.

I preferred the elegant way that LJN did the swivel and have been meaning to
tool them, but never got around to it. BBP expressed an interest in Flash
Gordon having bigger arms than the usual mego - since he wears a sleeveless
shirt, so I went ahead and tool the new arms.

After they are out, probably in the fall, I will order some bodies with the swivel
biceps instead of the usual arms.

Good news Paul! That sets my fears to rest about Flash Gordon looking to skinny! And the Bigger Shoulders will most likely solve the problem of the Arms getting sucked inside the Torso.

When you order some...will they come in different colors?

I'm assuming the FG Swivel upper arms will be a firmer plastic?

Will Spectre's Dark Shadows line have swivel biceps as well? How about Twilight Zone? It would be great if EMCE/DST would put these on their Star Trek figures too.
