I prefer Casshern.

I think that it gives the English speaker a better chance to get close to what I imagine is the proper pronunciation.

Yeah, translating Japanese to English often can't be an exact science due to the extreme differences in the languages. Plus there are a couple different methods of translating the Japanese characters into romaji (Japanese words spelt out using the Roman alphabet), so there's always a possibility of spelling differences. Plus sometimes an anime/manga/toy company etc. comes up with their own way of spelling a character's name in English, which just adds to the fun.

Look at a lot of the robot names: Combattler/Combattra, Mazinger/Mazinga, Grendizer/Grandizer, Raydeen/Reideen, Ryger/Liger, etc. Which is "correct"? Depends on who you ask.

The fun continues....we purchased www.worldmego.com and have it (for now) pointing to our blog, and will get everything moved to over to the proper URL soon.
