Nothing in the few images in the slideshow hints at her Cheetah persona, but you can see it is clearly set in the 80s.

It looks like they're going for a "sad sack" vibe that some of Wiig's past characters have had. Maybe the onset of her powers corrupt the weaker part of her personality, ultimately re-directing her self-loathing outward. Bad guy cliche #12. If this is the way they're going, hopefully Jenkins makes it work.
