My usual paint strippers, brake fluid and Simple Green, are not working on a head I spraypainted but botched.

According to Reader's Digest, oven cleaner can clean glass and metal but isn't safe for plastics and fabric.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses. -
I’ve used Easy Off for stripping chrome off of madel kit parts and it didn’t seem to damage the styrene. I’m not sure how it would effect the vinyl.
What kind of spray paint did you use?
Soaking heads in acetone is the process used to shrink heads, so it will break down the vinyl. Since you spray painted the head, I’m assuming it’s covered in paint so be careful how you apply the acetone.Last edited by CrimsonGhost; Apr 21, '19, 2:10 PM.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

Personally, I'd use acetone--perhaps diluted.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

Testor's liquid cement is usually my default; make sure to wipe it all off. Just don't breath deeply.Comment
