1:9 scale pith helmet

here's my helmet so far.
I think it's too tall and not round enough.
thoughts? criticisms?

I agree with the too tall part, just a little bit, the brim should be a bit wider, too.

I'd like to round it out a little, too.
I made the helmet part one solid block of magic sculpt, because I couldn't sculpt a "bowl" shape. which means it's like a rock. literally. I tried grinding out the center from underneath to make it sit on his head better but my little knockoff "dremel" made it tough going. I doubt I would be able to grind enough of the top off to make it round.
maybe a rasp file or even a metal blade hacksaw? just to lop a bit off the top?

Yes, big improvement! The brim looks a little better on the right side (Robin's left), but should be easy to even out. Oh, and you might want to add one of those nipple thingies on the top of the helmet.
