Forgotten Toys II: Atlantic Galaxy Series

Another one of my favorites as a kid:

    Galaxie series dynatlon.jpg

They had robots and monsters, Flash Gordon style heroes, space ships, you name it.
About seven different characters, in fantastic psychedelic colors. There were ten colors, and they mixed and matched them all. You could paint them if you wanted, one of the robots went through many coats of paint: I even painted one as 3PO!

The playset is rare (and huge), the box is about four foot long. I was lucky enough to trade one years ago (MIB).

I just love the whole 1930s Flash Gordon vibe the series has. Still missing the second series of two aliens...

Been into these guys from a distance for awhile now. They're on my incredibly long list of toys I like but haven't started to collect....yet. There's a couple of really cool ones.

Ever so often, I find figures in this line I never knew existed:

I grew up with this line-up:

My podcast partner had a little binge on these a while back. They're really neat.

I've never heard of them before, but I could easily be addicted.

              This is the playset.
It's so big, I never found room to display it.

It comes with the base, a spaceship, and eight seperately boxed figures.

                That playset is wicked cool.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I've just recently started collecting figures from this line. I love 'em!

                  Just picked these two up.

I paid $188.48 for the pair, including shipping.

Don't know if that's a decent price or not.

Likewise! What is the scale of the figures? These are just amazing.

That rocket ship resemblance to the Naboo Fighter is uncanny. Would love to show that to Doug Chiang, the designer for Phantom Menace.

Sky-Man, the tallest, is around 4.75 inches.
