    Countdown to Halloween

Well, it's my favourite time of year, the annual Halloween countdown.

Being a monster kid and overall creepy adult, this is my time to shine. Expect some creepy content to start filtering in sometime next week. Until then, enjoy some of the best masks 1976 had to offer, seriously if I had to choose just one from this display as a kid I'd still be standing there.

If you need a daily monster toy or costume fix in the mean time, check my twitter feed for daily updates.

PS brings the Halloween love every year. You've started out with a bang. If I had to pick one...shockingly, it may be the Wolf Man!

If there's anything I never get tired of seeing, it's vintage Halloween costumes. There's almost nothing that brings more of the kid out of me than watching others kids dress up. It's such a visceral moment for my imagination.

                  100% agree...

They need to bottle the vinyl smell these costumes gave off....

My first real job out of college was working for a billboard company. They bought a large vinyl printer, and I was stuck in a small building with the huge printer, and 100s of rolls of vinyl. It smelled like Ben Cooper heaven in there.

Then... well I know I wold have picked Bats. I know that because I did. for three years in a row!

Today, I'd grab the Sleestak. Party City, Spencers or any one of those store would be smart to tap into the nostalgia market with adult-sized Ben Cooper-inspired costumes. They'd be super cheap to make and and I'm sure there's be an OK market for them.

More than one of my Halloween costumes never lasted until October 31st...lol

By the way, that's a great idea, Bill.

                            Wicked! My favorite holiday.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
