I get that vibe too. It was probably intentional.

The show is trying to service too many characters, but the third episode worked much better than the second. I liked Balloonman. The show is tonally more in line with Burton's Batman than Nolan's, which isn't a bad thing just something I wasn't expecting.

Just seen all four episodes tonight on DVR...I dug it...I'm in, lol.

The best character is the Penguin (for some strange weird reason, I keep rooting for the shrewd creepo, lol)....but Gordon is right up there too, strong lead, he can carry the show.

Little Bruce Wayne is intriguing to watch...so is Alfred.

Cat is a cool little girl.

Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) looks lovely...I hope Falcone doesn't kill her...but I have a feeling Penguin will in the future.

Yes, the acting seems a bit over the top at times, but love the look of the series, washed down, wet, and dirty...and since I don't have kids...I love the ultra violence, quite graphic for a Network series, it almost feels like Gotham is on HBO, lol.

Not sure what to think of the actor playing the Riddler though, he seems to be doing a slight tone down version of Jim Carrey.

I keep wishing Bruce would hurry up and grow up, its the same frustration as in Smallville waiting to see when for Tom Welling will put on the suit.

The debut episode was marginally better than I expected. I'll probably give the series a try, but I've got an uneasy feeling it's going to be about on a par with the abominable Smallville.

a gazillion times better than Smallville with its mopey Clark and company.

And here I was about to add my praise and agreement with you Hector of Gotham...and then you had to go and crap on Smallville. Well, I'm out.

                                Smallville craps upon itself.
