    Supergirl TV series?

Reportedly, DC has a Supergirl TV series in active development with Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern, Arrow, The Flash) and Ali Adler (Chuck, No Ordinary Family) involved, with Michael Green (Smallville, Green Lantern) producing.

The series is decribed as being "a new interpretation of the Supergirl character and her story."

      Nostagiabuff you mean Laura Vandervoot.
Iwould love to see her take over the part for a movie or tv series.
She is a great artist and beautiful as well.

^I think she would be great but it seems like the CW has ran a million miles away from the Smallville era. I don't blame them but I do miss it.

She'd be WAY too old to be SuperGIRL now. She looked too old on Smallville, honestly.

Supergirl would be perfect for the "Buffy" formula... even more than Superman was in Smallville.

I was a little upset that the CW passed on this. I was hoping to see a "S" in there TV Universe.

Now I could see NBC picking it up if they went with the Supergirl "Earth Born Angel" storyline to cross-over with Constentine.

If this new Supergirl series is gonna be the female version of Smallville, meaning, just have Kara on screen for a decade, then on the series finale on the tenth year on the air, she finally dons the uniform, and appears for the very first time as Supergirl, in a blurry and darken long shot for all of ten seconds, then you can keep the series, I'm so out, lol.

I always thought Inglorious Basterds French actress, Melanie Laurent, would make a great Supergirl (she could pass as Helen Slater's sister). But aside from a thick French accent, she's now 31 years old. She's also only 5' 2". Bummer, man.

^^ Why would shortness be a problem for Supergirl? She should look shorter than her cousin. Besides, the size would be deceptive... like Yoda.

                      True.

And despite her being in her early 30s, she's still youthful looking enough to pull it off.

She looks the part, as I said, very Helen Slaterish...

...but the thing that would automatically eliminate her is her THICK French accent...no amounts of thespian practice is gonna cover that...if she was English or Australian, yes...but not French, no way.
