This time of year, especially the first Friday and Saturday after Labor Day, always reminds me of the new Saturday morning cartoon and live action shows lineup. Those preview shows that came on the Friday night before the new Saturday morning lineup. I lived for stuff like that back in the day. So this coming Saturday is September 6th. I have been trying to compile some of the cartoons and live action shows that came on September 6th back in the 70's. So far I have Return To The Planet Of THe Apes and Lost Saucer. Does anyone else know of any more?

The year before (1973) Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe hosted the NBC Saturday Morning Preview special. I'd love to see that, but I'm afraid that it's probably lost to time. It was the first season of the "Emergency + 4" cartoon.

I have been able to pick up DVD copies of both several ABC and NBC Saturday Morning Preview Specials. There are currently two on iOffer-

Too bad they don't have 1973's NBC Saturday morning preview.

I already have the '74 one. (that I got from IOffer), don't really want the '76 one. Hey, Wee67, did you say you have some ABC previews? Are they the 70s?"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
