    This time of year

This time of year, especially the first Friday and Saturday after Labor Day, always reminds me of the new Saturday morning cartoon and live action shows lineup. Those preview shows that came on the Friday night before the new Saturday morning lineup. I lived for stuff like that back in the day. So this coming Saturday is September 6th. I have been trying to compile some of the cartoons and live action shows that came on September 6th back in the 70's. So far I have Return To The Planet Of THe Apes and Lost Saucer. Does anyone else know of any more?

I have collected quite a lot of classic Saturday morning shows from the 70s. (mostly on VHS). There are a couple of good preview shows on YouTube:

This one is in parts, follow the links at the end of each video.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Actually, that's a hybrid Aussie/Brittish accent. He lived in England for a while when he was a teenager. And that's when I loved him. I like him now, but to me, that's when he was the best.

That's great! The ABC preview that you posted is Fantastic!

The year before (1973) Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe hosted the NBC Saturday Morning Preview special. I'd love to see that, but I'm afraid that it's probably lost to time. It was the first season of the "Emergency + 4" cartoon.

Really? I didn't know that Emergency +4 was on for more than one season. And thanks to Mego73 (Mike) I have 10 eps of it.

Remember that feeling of anticipation Friday night, on the eve of the new cartoons? It was like your reward for completing the first week of back to school. Modern kids will never know this feeling.

Too bad they don't have 1973's NBC Saturday morning preview.

I already have the '74 one. (that I got from IOffer), don't really want the '76 one. Hey, Wee67, did you say you have some ABC previews? Are they the 70s?
