^^^ Another member here suggested that I wrap a piece of white cloth around the arm for about a week to make sure there is no color bleed back out which is a good idea.

Before anyone does this, they should wait until I test for any bleed back.

It seems like it's set in really good because I cant wash it back off but it is possible it could bleed back out onto clothes. So further testing is required.

Big Josh in all his log splitting glory. He's going into hibernation with Cottonelle wrapped arms and I will see in a week or so is there is any bleed back out the "re-dyed" arms.

Brilliant job! Excellent idea for the bleed test, too.

You must be a mind reader because I planned on checking on them tonight. We have good news and bad news.

The good news is I think this will work with no problems.

The bad news is I have to do this again because I think the little color that ended up on the paper was caused by colored water that was trapped in the body when I rinsed the arms off.

The color ended up only by the shoulder holes and there was water on the arms in that area.

There is really no way to keep water out of the body when rinsing them off so I am going to have to make sure he is thoroughly dried out on the inside and do this again to make sure.

I just checked this guy again and I see no bleed back, so if you do this you have to make sure everything is Dry inside and out before you put any clothes back on.

But if it's a sleeveless figure like a Dr. Steel you have nothing to worry about.

That's a pretty neat trick. Never would have thought.
