Ace Frehley's new solo effort cracks Billboard's top ten on debut!

I'm so happy for Ace. That guy has been put down for so long by Gene and Paul and now he comes back and does better than anyone in the band that has ever released a solo record. Congrats Ace! That's really giving the index salute to Paul and Gene. It helps that it's a great record too.

"Space Invader", the first new solo album from original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley in five years, sold around 19,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on August 19 via Entertainment One Music (eOne...

"I want to hold you" and. "Immortal Pleasures" are my favorites.

COOL! Ace was always my favorite. I really liked Frehleys Comet. I seen FC at a club in PA when the first album came out. Great show! About a month or so later I hooked up with the opening band as their guitar tech, eventually going on tour with them after the CBS record deal. I miss those days. Back then myself and the lead guitar player were on the Mego Mailing List. Good Times!!

I can't love this album enough. It's so classic Ace but updated with a voice that seems true and honest for a guy who has been doing this for 40 years and not a guy who's been doing it for forty years and still trying to impersonate his younger self (yes that was directed at Paul Stanley).

Rock royalty that earns that title.

That sounds pretty good...think I'm going to buy it.

It has that throwback 70s classic rock sound...but some fresh elements as well...nice to see Ace thriving nowadays.

However, I'm not going to hate on Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons while praising Frehley...for like them or hate them...they handled their careers and lives much better...can't hate them for that. Frehley made some bad choices in the past...but certainly I'm now focusing on his present state of mind...and frankly...that's just awesome, I'm happy for him.

Agreed. Ace has always been his own worst enemy.

I've always like Frehley's Comet and his solo stuff. The new album sounds good.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Being a KISS fan it was really tough watching the beating that Paul and Gene were throwing out on Ace and Peter this year. I completely agree with you Hector with the past and career paths but having followed Ace closely (yeah social media stalker, that's me ) since the RnR Hall of Fame announcement to the release of this new album it sure seems like really sour grapes on their part. I even bought Paul's book looking forward to the chance to hear his side of the four headed story and frankly it rubbed me all kinds of the wrong way. But I digress... no need for KISS nerd rage here

                            A truly incredible album.
A must have for kiss/ ace/ rock fans. I can't stop listening to it.
Nothing better than having new ace songs jangling my brain

Love Ace , but Larger Than Life solo is not Ace at all.

Alot of this solos are from Paul and Bob Kulic, My all time Ace Frehley solo is the nr 16 Rocket ride. All american man is Bob Kulic and the elder solos Paul I think. Shock me solo from Alive 2 is the best vibrato i ever heard
