    Just got Alfred

I was lucky enough to snag one off of Amazon for $25 last week. Wasn't sure if I'd get him since at the time there were only 2 left.

I just ordered one from Amazon too. I can't wait to get it. If I have to switch it out with a Type S, I will.

It doesn't seem many stores in Toronto are carrying Wave 3 compared to the amount of stores that carried Wave 1. Some might be feeling stuck with Wave 2 still.

So far in my travels, I've only seen them at Comic Book Lounge and Gallery, although I haven't checked any of the Yonge st stores yet like Silver Snail or 1,000,000 Comix.

Funny, Alfred would have undoubtably been the peg warmer back in the day, but I think many of us adult collectors are excited at the first all new classic Mego DC superhero character to come out of FTC (besides Batman 66). I mean what kid in the seventies would have been really excited to run home and have Alfred dust and vacuum the Batcave playset?

Alfred is an "Amazing" sculpt (I have him also) from the folks at FTC...Too bad he suffers from Nogginitis. I'm planning to have it shrunk to proper scale...That's how much i love the sculpt (Sorry, But i'm sort of a perfectionist).

Wave 3 was in the Silver Snail, but only Alfred and Batgirl remain. Snagged on the last two Robins...

I just got my Alfred today. He looks pretty spiffy, and the head really doesn't look all THAT humongous to me.

What I can't stand are the shoes! They should have used a classier type of shoe besides the Waltons shoe mold!

He's strung too tightly of course, so I will DEFINITELY have to order another type S body to prevent any mishaps. The guys at FTC should have gone bandless like Doc and Craig did. The flexibility of Craig's body can't be beat. I love it to pieces.

Really? You're the first person here I've seen say Wave 3 Batman figures were too tight like the first 2 waves. Mine were fine.

I had the same problem with my Riddler 66 figure. I raised his left arm, just a little bit, mind you, and the derned thing snapped off! I couldn't put it back for love or money, so I simply decided to order a type S from Craig and do a swap.

                    Best decision I ever made.

Where do you order the type S bodies from?

Glad it worked for you. I tried the Type S body swap on Batman, Robin, Bruce and Dick from the 1st two waves. The Robin head was slightly loose, Batman's head was floppy loose and Dick fit fine. Looked like the ridge at the neck was too thick on the Type S bodies to get a good fit.

Try a bit of masking tape. That should snug it up.

I saw Alfred at my Comic Shop, but couldn't talk myself into buying him...the "over sized" head just bugs me to much.
