^Mattel is really confusing people with this Super Powers thing. The only figures they are releasing in SP packaging are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Gold Superman, The Riddler, and Mxy. Mxy is the only new figure, the rest are repaints of previous DCUC figures to look more like the classic Super Powers paint schemes. They come with pieces to build Kalibak...who is also the same figure as the DCUC, just repainted.
The figures on the back represent the figures from DCUC and similar lines that best represented the classic Super Powers figures, including proposed figures that never made it out in later waves, like Deathstroke and Vigilante.
So they aren't re-releasing hard to find figures like Deathstroke and Dr. Fate.
They REALLY need to clarify this better. People are very confused!

If they were actually releasing the entire SP lineup I'd be interested. Six figures? Not so much. I have no desire to own a gold Superman or Riddler with mismatched legs either. Just another example of Mattel taking a good idea and failing miserably in the execution of it.Comment

I certainly had zero idea that these were not all part of a Super Powers 30th anniversary line. You're right, it is very confusing.
Like Enyawd72 said, Mattel cannot seem to properly/successfully execute. The Super Powers 30th Anniversary line had the potential to be great, but I bet that it's turned out to be a "pass" for many interested parties.
- IanRampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?Comment

I kind of hope Mattel does have enough success with this line for it to continue. I'd love a Cyborg or Shazam or Plastic Man or Mr Miracle in SP packaging.
Although part of me is really disappointed that they won't be including Super Powers features on the figures, which seems to be the whole point of a contemporary Super Powers line. (loving that FTC's are going to be Fist Fighters for example)Comment
