IDW just announced plans for their new classic Star Trek meets Planet of the Apes crossover. The description reads that Klingons are secretly backing a group of Ape soldiers in a bid for control of Ape City. Forcing Kirk into an uneasy alliance with Dr Zaius. The comic will also feature Taylor and Nova. So ,Mego kids, it looks like one of our childhood crossovers of the figure playing world will take place for real in the comic world. I was actually working on a concept for something similar (same idea but totally different story) for a picture story with the Mego figures.......looks like they stole my thunder! But in all seriousness, i am pretty excited to read this.

But... erm... Taylor is on Earth (spoiler alert), and Kirk is from Earth... and yet Kirk's Earth is not full of apes... -
