    dusting off the dremel

I haven't made a custom figure in about a year. But today I dusted off the dremel and assembled some 8" muscle bodies and messed with some heads. I really wish one of the re-mego companies would make bodies like this. Mainly so I won't have to anymore. ;-)

Not that I don't think the muscle bod is great, 'cos it is; but I am hoping for a skinny body from a remego companies one of these days.

I made a skinny body a few years ago, too. I think I sold 3.

I'm having some mold issues that have prohibited me from cranking these out like a did a few years ago. Right now I think I might have enough parts for 2 more bodies (which I'm keeping for myself). If I can figure out my mold problem, I may make a few more. They were $35 each back in the day.

Skinny sounds cool. Got any pics?

I've always thought Quicksilver would look better skinny.

the man in the middle... (BTW, I made a spiderman with the skinny body and really liked the contrast with the beefier characters).

Those look fantastic! I'll take 1 dozen beefies and 1/2 a dozen skinnies...just kidding...kinda...as I would definitely be interested in buying some when you get the mold issue resolved.

Are your bodies solid, or do you use a slush-casting method?

^^ Back in the day I slush cast a couple of torsos just to see how they would turn out. The majority are solid resin. The torso and pelvis need to be hollowed out.

Here's a blog entry from a while ago that shows the assembly process... http://swissfamilybossart.blogspot.c...-building.html
