Why does this already sound like it is going to fail. I will not watch this movie until it comes on cable.

the problem with most of the Ferrel movies is instead of playing it as a straight comedy, they do slapstick and ruin the original concept. that was where Land of the Lost failed, IMHOComment

I like Will Ferrell...he makes me laugh, that's all that matters to me.

Yeah, Land of the Lost was a Ferrell miss...but most of his other movies are entertaining, Elf, Anchorman, Blades of Glory, Step Brothers, etc, all funny. Many don't like him, many do. Place me in the do list, lol.sigpicComment

I LIKED Manimal.
The name had to be revamped altogether though; it was just plain stupid. As was the habit of the female lead of running around in high heeled shoes as a police detective.
Had they never heard of running shoes back then? Or was she just supposed to be eye candy?
I thought that was Simon MacCorkindale's job!
He was a good actor, and the show wasn't TOO terrible. It took itself seriously enough that you got drawn into it; even though some of the plots were of the stinky cheese variety.
And they should have kept the first black actor. He was WAY better than that other guy.JediJaidaComment

I think Will Ferrell is wonderful.
I've disliked every movie he has ever made. So I know that I should avoid the next one without even seeing one frame.
That man saves me a lot of time and money.
