You are a super dad! That IS what it's all about. You score a great classic piece for an even greater price, and you give it to you daughter to play w/ and cherish. In this world of folks of the Pawn Star mentality,(buying and flipping it for more money), this is refreshing to see. Yes sweetie, snaps and zippers. I love it!
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! I instantly thought of my daughter to give it to. Yeah I can end up selling it, but get a few bucks and that's it? I thought what a great chance to see my daughter play with a classic Barbie and learn to appreciate it. Rather than put it behind a case, I decided I was going to teach her how to cherish and play with things people give her.
The condition it was in tells me whomever had it before must have cherished it, or it just sat somewhere untouched for years. I told my daughter, this is for her to take care of. The same condition I gave it to you is the same condition you will keep it as you grow older and maybe someday pass it on to your little girl. She was thrilled just holding it and looking at the clothes. She said "Daddy zippers? I never saw zippers on Barbie clothes? can we get more of these?"......lol"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Thanks again everyone......Sharry, I showed my daughter what you said she got a kick out of it and Thank you!
She spent the weekend carefully playing with them and it was my job to dress and undress the dolls for her. She didn't want to break any zippers....lol

Don't really care for Barbie, but I know the feeling. I found a case in my parents attic of my sister's old Barbies. They ended up being rare figures that were made in Japan and worth a pretty penny online. It did help advance my superhero collection though. My sister didn't care about them, so thanks for that sis!Comment
