Why I love Flea Market finds

Why I Freeeeeeking LOVE going to Flea markets...or shops that no one knows of.....found this original 1963 Barbie and Ken Case....thought it was an empty case to give to to my daughter, when I opened it....saw a Bubblecut Barbie inside inspected her knew instantly I had an early 60's Barbie, she turns out to be a 1961 bubble cut barbie not sure yet if she's a white ginger barbie or just a normal blonde. as I opened the case further, out popped out Ken...a first issue flocked Ken from 1961.Both in very nice condition and a perfect toy for my daughter, The kicker and what made my day.....I paid ten bucks. Made my day.

Yes...I almost choked...and had to keep calm the guy, just had tons of stuff. He just wanted to get rid of stuff, I kid you not.....I was just thinking he probably has no idea about toys just wanted to make money.

Congrats. That was a very good deal.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

You just lived one of my wife's fever dreams.

It's really cool that you gave them to your daughter, and didn't go running to ebay. Although I certainly wouldn't blame you if you did!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! I instantly thought of my daughter to give it to. Yeah I can end up selling it, but get a few bucks and that's it? I thought what a great chance to see my daughter play with a classic Barbie and learn to appreciate it. Rather than put it behind a case, I decided I was going to teach her how to cherish and play with things people give her.

The condition it was in tells me whomever had it before must have cherished it, or it just sat somewhere untouched for years. I told my daughter, this is for her to take care of. The same condition I gave it to you is the same condition you will keep it as you grow older and maybe someday pass it on to your little girl. She was thrilled just holding it and looking at the clothes. She said "Daddy zippers? I never saw zippers on Barbie clothes? can we get more of these?"......lol

Congratulations. That's the kind of find that keeps me waking up early, driving groggy-eyed, and digging amongst the junk.
