Aqualad eye repaint

I was very happy to get the two Teen Titans I didn't have originals of from FTC (Aqualad and Speedy). However, I was a little disappointed in the paint app on Aqualad's eyes. So, I busted out the brushes this afternoon. It's not perfect, but I'm much happier. The original is on the left, the repaint is on the right. I also added a white spec on each eye, cuz I can.

I also enlarged (and aligned) the irises on Speedy. I think it makes him look a little better, too.

WOW! I'd say "That's an improvement" is an understatement! GREAT WORK! You've obviously got a great "EYE" for detail! (I know...Corny But couldn't help myself!)

Seriously....I'm the happiest I've been in YEARS as far as TOY collecting goes! I've dreamed about this for years! FTC is 100% making my dreams come true! DECADES old DREAMS! Literally....TOY DREAMS Come True!

But...I have had issues with every wave so far & I hope FTC can get on their QC Problems ASAP!

Costumes are not as prone to runs like the old mego ones were, but they fit way looser unfortunately! They are not sewn as securely as I would like, on a couple of my figures as well. The BODY issues in wave 1 was a wreck! *But FTC fixed it & Wave 2 was WAY BETTER! Wave 3...BATGIRLs' necks are BAD!

*This thread does highlight some Paint ISSUES that were not as evident in previous waves for me (except BAD pupil differences on both my Catwoman figs) But the PAINT on the eyes is really REALLY BAD on 2/3 of my Batgirls & both Aqualads & Wonder Girls TITANS specifically have BAD EYE paint jobs!

I'm stoked for FTC future releases & I HOPE that FTC will have every QC problem under control before all these great FALL re-mego releases!

Do the CTVT "teen" Aqualad heads in various hair colors have this same eye-paint problem?

I received my second set of Teen Titans and my Aqualad's eyes are MUCH better than the one from my first set. I know someone else mentioned in a another thread that their's were fine too. I will leave the bad eye Aqualad in the package, but if I ever order from CTVT, I may grab another Aqualad head just to see. Fixing mine myself is not an option; I would just make it worse!

Oh MAN!! that was the ultra rare Bells Palsey Aqualad version he was worth thousands that way
