How about a prospector with a Breyer mule. The Dodge head from custom POTA would look great.

Thanks plaz, totally forgot Danny Reid. A prospector has been on my mind for awhile.
So for the second series of 6 characters:
1) Lone Ranger in red and black.
2) Danny Reid
3) Prospector
Seems like there should be a female character by this point. Perhaps an indian chief character? Any ideas/suggestions on the last three characters, would greatly be appreciated.

Those are good choices. Indian chief would be cool as well as an Indian princess. Danny Reid's mother?

Just noticed this last night as well,I really hope they aren't retiring these lines.
If anything I was hoping maybe they could expand on them.
Unfortunately it looks like they may be going away just like everything else that sells out.
You can no longer get any of the tex willer figures and not much left for the Robin Hood line.
Some of the happy days figures are gone as well.
Makes it hard to make customs when the stock piles run out.

As for the 'Western Heroes', the only thing you can't get on the CTVT site is the Wyatt Earp blue shirt. As for retired lines, I know. Luckily, CTVT always asks me on my orders what I want to see added to their site. So far they have listen very closely and I got to say; 'I'm amazed'! Almost everything I've asked for, has or is coming out soon. CTVT/FTC listens to it's customers without being all out there saying so.
I was so wanting to order another set of six for $45. Good gravy, the bodies alone are worth $35. Now it's $5 more and you only get 5. "That's the conditions that prevail. Ah, cha, cha, cha."*

My last order was a loose set of cowboy figures and spare clothes including the Earp blue shirt.
In the process of working out some new western figures.
I'm really looking forward to your next set of custom ranger figures.

Those are some great requests.
I see your point about retired stock. Wouldn't it be great if FTC could make enough money to keep as many parts and pieces available at CTVT?
It would be great to have a sticky thread on their board here, just for these requests. I know I got a bunch for making Green Hornet and Kato.

Try going to your local western wear store. They usually stock a large selection of children's toys and horses are essential toys for rural kids. I bought about 4 or 5 horses to use on my Zorro diorama. You may pay a little more since these are more boutique, but the quality is a little better than something from say Toys R Us or a discount store.

Last year, I made about 3 Lone Rangers based on the movie version. I never have been able to pull off a classic Lone Ranger in the Clayton Moore outfit, mostly because it's hard to find the pants and shirt in that exact color of blue. I went the blue jumpsuit route and it didn't look right, sticking out like a sore thumb. Sometimes we're our own worst critics.

Let's take a look at 'Our story thus far': If variation red and black Lone Ranger is one of series two, that leaves at least 5 more characters. If an extra character is needed, red and black LR, gets to be odd man out.
1) Dan Reid JR.
2) Linda Reid.
3) Prospector.
4) Indian Chief.
5) Squaw.
6) Indian Brave.
If Red and black Lone Rangers is odd man out, series one still needs a second bad guy, so Butch has at least, two gang members.
