    The Strain

Anybody else going to check it out this Sunday on FX? Isn't this Guillermo Del Toro's first TV series?

Yes! I am in for sure on this one. The previews look great! I watched one tonight that showed a girl in a room going through some metamorphosis and it looked really creepy.

You'll see the promo I worked on at the end of Episode 2.

I have been looking forward to this for months. Loved the scurrying rat scene that ran during Walking Dead. What a great way to get people talking about it. It is really cool that Rob works on it and is a member here! I hope it is super successful!!

Great first episode. I've read all the comics so far...first and second series...very faithful to the books. Looking forward to next week.

Holy crap, I'm enjoying this series.

I actually forgot about it for two weeks, as Comcast FLUBBED UP THE PREMIER in On Demand, and it kept freezing and dropping you out back to 0 counter whenever the Coroner was about to be attacked. So I got frustrated, and forgot to check back in.

Just watched episodes 2 and 3 back to back, and it's fabulous!! Great acting and excellent creepy cinematography unfolding of scenes that remind me of Guillermo's great movies Devil's Backbone and Orphanage. I mean, some of the scenes are succulent. I particularly enjoyed (no worries, no spoilers, just references) the girl bathtub scene (PERFECT), and the conversation between two 'old friends'. I also enjoyed the simple reveal of one of the characters getting dressed. That was awesome.

That vermin exterminator is suuuuch a weird character. I enjoy watching him because he's so off-beat I can't quite tell if he's a bad guy or a weird good guy personality. He's just weird.

It's going to be torture waiting a week between each episode now.

Another great episode. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows. Hope it keeps up the momentum and doesn't peter out like Penny Dreadful did.

Speaking of peter...if it gets to the point where my BFF falls off and my reaction is a nonchalant flush, game over man...Game Over!

Enjoying it thus far, the assembling of the vampire fighters kind of reminds me of "V".

Del Toro is a mego fan BTW.

So far I am liking these series and for once I have not read the comic books so I know nothing about this series. Yeah I know, the Monitor of Earth Prime has not done his research on a Comic Book TV Series, the same of it. Sometimes it is best to go in with fresh eyes. After season one, I will pick up the comic to compare the two.

3 episodes down...and still very interesting. It is VERY faithful to the comics. If it continues to follow the comic storyline, we are all in for a wild, wild ride.

The comics are supposed to be released in 3 waves, 3 series. So far, the first two series have been released. The first series is 11 issues, the second series is 9 issues.

Be prepared to pay between 250-300 for a set on ebay. They are HOT right now. I sold my set after the first episode for $225.
