    Gold Finger /James Bond

I have a chance to buy a James Bond action figure from the 60s, My guess it came out during Gold Finger as the seller also has an Odd Job figure. My question is are these figures any good? As i have no photos to go by, Any info on them would be a big help thanks

They were made by Gilbert and came out between Goldfinger and Thunderball when Bondmania was probably at its highest peak.
I'm assuming you mean the 12" figures and not the smaller figurines? The smaller figurines were painted and were sold in sets with props (M's office, Dragon tank from Dr. No, etc.) as well as by themselves. They were based on Dr. No, Goldfinger, and Thunderball...oddly, none were based on From Russia with Love?

The 12" Bond figure was based off of the Moon McDare body....essentially a (poor) fashion doll body thats only jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. The Man from UNCLE line also used this body. Probably the only cool feature of the line was the figures pistols actually could fire a cap. Odd Job had a unique body that was poorly articulated, but did have a hat throwing feature.

As a figure, even for the time, these were crap.....but they are highly collectible, and a neat piece of toy history. I think they are worth adding to a classic toy collection!

Quite nice, seen them a few times but I'm not really into Bond.
If they are a good price and your a Bond fan then yeah get them.
    They would display well.
