A question for all the Mego Ape Collectors out there

    Hi Guys -

I have a question about the ape line...

As I understand the Ursus figure with the maroon tunic with cuffs is a difficult piece to find, right? Well, what about an Ursus figure with the maroon tinic with maroon gloves like the solider ape?...I have one MIP, never opened, like the soldier ape with the maroon gloves. Anyone else heard of this variation?

    Thanks for your input.

Yes, I have heard of it.

From what I understand, Ursus was available in all of the variations that the Soldier Ape had (Standard Blue, Maroon/Brown, "Silver" & Lizard Skin.)

I agree with apes, but I have yet to have seen a carded Silver Ursus. I don't see why it could'nt have happened.

A carded maroon ursus is really a tough piece to find but it's rarity doesn't translate well to value. With yours, I only know of three in existence.

I tried to donate a pic of a silver carded ursus to the museum but it never photographer as silver. If you look in the ursus gallery there's a pic of all the ursus package and figure variations. The one to the left of the carded maroon ursus is a silver ursus.
