    What about cleaning Supergirls hair?

It looks ok, just has that dirty feel and slightly dirty look. I know you have to be careful with doll hair (I have 3 daughters).. any suggestions. And thanks to everyone who replied to my clothes question.

Try using a teensy amount of fabric softener. The hair from the 70's was nylon or something similar. The fabric softener should loosen up the dirt, and get the stiffness out. Just make sure that it's diluted with plenty of water; dunk the head for maybe 10 seconds and then start massaging the hair.

Sometimes knots are really stubborn, and ordinary combs won't cut it. Get a flea comb from the pet supply shop; one with very fine teeth. That will get rid of the knots. However, you MIGHT lose a few plugs if you pull too hard.

I had some luck with hair de-tangler. I had been using it on my daughters knotty hair for years and thought I would give it a try - it works well - I usually rinse out the hair after removing knots though!
