I never understood one referee. I know they have line judges to help, but really there are far to many players and to big of a surface for one person to cover.

Mexico was robbed today. Hopefully the referees will improve as the worldcup develops, cause what we've seen so far in that matter is definitely disappointing.

3-1 yeah, but our playing was a far cry from what we expected it to be. We won't be facing another semi-pro team in the next two games, so I have my fears, you know.

It's good to see Mexico winning. I'm worried about the score-difference, because those two goals they took from them can count if you can do some harm to both, Brazil and the referee (that will sure be calling for them). Still, if Brazil plays like they did yesterday, I think Mexico will have some saying there.

As for the referees, I truly believe they should mix technology with their work. It's 2014 -NOT 1974, for heaven's sake!!!

They had played eight previous games...and Uruguay was 8-0 vs Costa Rica.

Uruguay was missing its superstar, Suarez...and Forlan is not the same player anymore, but no excuses, Uruguay got beat, simple as that.

Perreria is an idiot, kicking like that and getting red-carded, with seconds left in the game...DUMB.

Can't believe what Uruguay just did, or is it that Costa Rica improved so much the last couple of decades? Uruguay's players seemed so old and worn, lost in the field, without any ideas or strength. I was thinking they were going to win easily today. I guess that's the exciting thing about this sport.

Italy will soon be smashing the Brits with their usual lackluster way of playing, 9 defenders and 1 on forward. Not expecting to see any beauty on this match, but in a worldcup anything can happen. Gonna go grab a bag of chips, some Coronas, sit back and to enjoy!

If Uruguay keeps playing like that, they should just go home. They're obviously drunk.

The team is too old, plain and simple. They were at their prime FOUR years ago. Their Sub20 team should have provided some fresh players, but no... let's stick to the injury prone and the pretty boys. Great world cup strategy there.

I'm now hoping Germany doesn't tank.

That being said, I'm glad the Dutch not only beat Spain, but embarrassed them.
