    Star War

I've had this Mexican backer card for years, although I've never fully known what toys it was used to sell. My best theory is parachuting figurines that were copies of the Kenner figures but I'm not sure.

All i know is, I love the art on this thing though it looks largely swiped from Marvel's movie adaptation. It may be unlicensed bit I love it's crude charm more than anything on the shelves today.

Very cool. Neat artwork. Luke looks like He-Man.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Card art is great. But as expected, the bootleg figures that went with it were pretty crude.

I miss the days of bootleg SW stuff.

I remember buying that orange handle lightsabre ("Force Beam"), which was way cooler than that weird inflatable one they released officially.
That thing saw a lot of action, you could really sword fight with it, and it still works up to this day.

Maybe this is from the first war. It wouldn't be until there were several that it was Star Wars.

I've got a similarly horrible Mexican Mazinger...

Although I believe it's a deliberately made piece to cash in on collector interests.

Neat! That helps date it. Can't be any earlier than 83 because of the bootleg ROTJ weapons.

That's how my mom always referred to Star Wars when I was a kid.
