    Entenmann's Cake and Cookies...Any requests?

Entenmann's Bakery is literally in my backyard...Does anyone have any requests for any of their cakes or cookies for the Mego Suite? post them here and I'll try my best to meet them.

The warehouse I used to run was in the same park as the Massachusetts distribution center. Directly across the street. Never went in the store once. I am thankful Twinkie distribution wasn't there. Little Debbie would have been an issue too. I would so do her. ;-)
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I'm partial to the chocolate chip cookies. The deluxe french cheesecake but I'm not sure how that translate in the sweet since it's more grab and little of this and that food wise.

Oh man. I'd make the trip just for some Devil's Food Crumb Donuts.

For about 40 years they were probably one of the finest cake/cookies/donut makers on the East Coast. Mostly Northeast. In the last 10 years or so every supermarket has been putting in their own bakery department and they have been cutting into what Entenmann's used to do better than anyone. Unfortunately the 'Original' bakery will be shutting down after over 100 years. They will still have the outlet where the original Bakery was. The new company that owns them has a not so appealing name and they will keep the Entenmann brand. Most of the baking will be done in Pennsylvania and Florida from what I've been told. It's a shame that they can't keep the original still open as a bakery as well as an outlet. I know that they have brands like Arnold Brick Oven and Freihoffers under the Entennmans brand as well as a few others. If you are curious here is the Wiki Link:

I'm not even a big fan chocolate chip cookies, but Entenmann's rule!

BTW, Much in the same way Mego answered the issues with the original solid boxes, Entenmann invented the "window-paned" box for their cakes. They, however, never moved on to blister pack presentation.

The chocolate chip cookies sound good. I wouldn't mind a sample.

I grew up on Entenmann's. We've had an outlet in about a ten mile area at some location or another in my entire 31 years. The best location was the one that was there until I was about twelve. Everyone locally went there, and in lieu of bags they had these huge string machines that would neatly tie all of your boxes together.

The chocolate chip cookies are great, as are/were the variant with Heath bar pieces.
