A couple of years back I searched and found out the maker and style of the Toy chest, that was handed down from my brother 10 years older than me and Sister 7 years older than me. I had used this chest until from ages 2 to about 11, then it was sold at a garage sale.

My parents painted one of these to match my furniture. I still have it; it's full of my son's rock collection.

I had a really big wooden toy box, the size of a hassic (sp) or ottoman. My mom and I used to rotate my toys from it every couple of months. I was only allowed to play w/ the dolls sitting on top of the toy box, (b/c I had so many), until the next rotation."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

My family had one but by the time I was born it was relegated to the basement with my older siblings toys in it. Still I have fond memories of that toy chest (one being large amounts of Plastigoop being spilled in it) and I would LOVE to find one like it again. Unfortunately no photos of it exist and my memory isn't clear. It was big, wooden, and multi colored, that's all I remember.

I grew up in a big, old farmhouse. My parents turned part of the walk-in attic into a playroom with shelves on all the walls for my toys. Being the little OCD kid I was, I spent more time organizing and re-organizing my toys on those shelves than I did playing with them. A box would have driven me crazy.sigpicComment

I also had a small chest of drawers for smaller toys, doll clothes, and instructions for battery operated toys. (I had a lot of those!)"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
