Fixed it – is it still mint?

Hi – Recently, I was dusting one of my Megos. I’m not sure how it happened, but its fabric insignia ended up being nearly ripped off its suit. I used the thinnest application of Elmer’s glue that I could and reapplied it. The doll now looks the same as it did before, which was mint.

Since I technically modified the original, is the doll still considered mint?

    Thank you!

Anyone know about "mint condition" post-repair?

As I understand it, any sort of damage to an item and it looses it's 'mint' status. A repair doesn't get it back, either. At best, you have a figure with minor 'restoration', even if you were able to use the original sticker to do it (Bravo for that, by the way!)

Personally, I would have done the same thing myself, since I enjoy the 'restoration' aspect of this Mego hobby. My hat's off to you for making the repair as you did! Would love to see a picture of your efforts!

          Thank you!

Oh, specifically, I restored the original red half-circle at the doll's midsection:

Thank you, and that's an interesting offer. I think I'll pass due to the fact that the only way my Megos will leave my hands is the day that those hands no longer have blood flowing through them!
