Here are some rough first shots of the new 8 inch project. The Chest engine is just a plane Jane stand in. I have a ways to go, but thought i'd share.

WOW! I'm not even into the genre and I think these are fantastic!!!

But won't a transparent or chromed head make it hard to see the details of the sculpt?

I was just thinking that it would be really cool to have a small electronic board with small multicolored LEDs which could be powered with watch batteries in that clear torso. This could be activated by developing a switch in the neck that could be activated by pushing down on the figures head. How about fiber optic hair for the lady androids? I Robot had me really inspired for a return of Micronauts figures. The 8" scale just makes it easier for the inclusion of all kinds of cool gadgets.

I love the colored clear parts. Are they dyed or painted? The only thing I would think might be a problem is the visibility of the component inside the chest. The new bodies look to have a slightly roughened surface so I think maybe it would be better to go with external chest pieces? Maybe the front can be polished enough to provide a clear view inside?

Fun with Glow in the Dark...

The head is a stand in ( it's the Stretch Monster I shrank for Palitoy last year). The non black portions glow in the dark, as well as the inside of the back. This will have glow inthe dark guts as well. This one will be very limited if it makes the cut, it's so labor instensive... but cool though.
