Saw the trailer for Lucy at the Winter Soldier screening. My non-comic book wife thought Lucy looked interesting which is saying something. And as an aside she really enjoyed Winter Soldier.

Marvel would be stupid not to make Black Widow and Hawkeye solo movies. The characters are out there in the public conscious. Mind you, the same could have been said about an Electra movie and we know how that turned out ... so I'll shut up now

So did anyone see this? Rented it last nite, and really enjoyed it. Smart, fun flick. Thought Scarlett did a great job, and I was really quite fascinated by it..

Yeah, I dug it as well, very satisfying and compelling action/sci fi.

You can nitpick to no end I guess but I chose to just be entertained.

Lucy wasn't bad, but the story had some logic holes in it.
The way the drugs were smuggled felt pretty OTT. Cut someone open and insert it?
And how come she gets beaten up so badly when arriving, aren't they taking care of their mules with such a precious cargo?
Then she develops the gift that she can basically make anyone drop dead instantly by thinking about it: yet, when the bad guys arrive, guns blazing, she lets them come close, makes them float around a bit, and lets them gun down the police that are defending the university lab.

Close, but no cigar...
