    Rare second series 1979 cardback from Mattel...this art is just gorgeous!

    Very similar to the MOTU cardbacks of a few years later. Definitely some beautiful stuff.

    Did Flash's arms actually come in blue? Mine are red.

      The blue arms are on both packages, it never came that way to my knowledge.

        That is terrific artwork and you really can see the MOTU card art style emerging from it. Great little set of figures too. But no Dale!? Ack!! That always bugged me. I've also never seen a Flash with blue arms.
        You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house.             Aura would have been great. As well as Prince Baron and Ming's Robots. But no Dale in Flash Gordon is like having a SW line with no Princess Leia.

                No Princess Aura is the real shame in this line.
                I've said it before, and I'll say it again; Filmation had the most beautifully designed ladies. Aura, Teela, She-ra, Batgirl...HB couldn't hold a candle to them.
